The development encompasses the construction of a new 540-bed hospital of approximately 33.225 square meters (357,630 SQ.FT.), delivered 'design-build'. The hospital houses various departments for clinical and other services. The construction cost for the new Central Block (Hospital) was $200 Million US dollars, and the estimated project duration was 36 months. The development also included the design and construction of a new 150 to 200-space free-standing parking building facility to service the parking needs of the hospital in accordance with Port-of-Spain Town and Country Planning Division requirements. The construction of the new garage, other surface parking areas, and site improvements were estimated at $20 million. Our services also included the remodeling and restoration of the exterior and interior of the existing Medical Library historical building.
