MDAD retained MOBIO’s full architecture/ engineering professional services to develop design and construction contract documents for the replacement of all existing exterior building envelopes’ finishes with new wall cladding system as required and the new Lightning Protection.
MIA Cc E & E Wall Cladding Repairs: The project consisted of the demolition of the entire existing exterior wall finishes including (1) four-story E-Satellite Terminal; (2) Lower E-Terminal; (3) Two-story Connector between Terminals ‘D’ and ‘E’; and selective areas of Main Central Terminal at ‘E’. In addition, assess options to temporarily support all existing utilities currently attached to the building to allow for demolition and construction of the new building cladding. The project was developed in accordance with the PSA, MDAD Design Guidelines, and the most current building codes having jurisdiction.
New Lightning Protection System at Satellite ‘E’ and Lower ‘E’ Terminals: Development of construction contract documents for the installation of a new Lightning Protection System compliant with all most current required codes having jurisdiction such as FBC/LPI/UL 96 & 96A/NFPA-780/ MDAD DGM and other relevant regulations. This will include all rooftop components/ rooftop equipment including high/low voltage equipment at both Lower ‘E’ and Satellite ‘E’ Terminals.
A-VDGS System: MDAD retained MOBIO’s full architecture/ engineering professional services to install new navigation and gate safety digital system in Satellite ‘E’. The scope encompasses the design and development of construction contract documents for the installation of the Advanced-Visual Docking Guidance System (A-VDGS) at ten (10) locations in Satellite ‘E’ gates. The development of the construction contract documents will include information provided by MDAD and its consultant ADB Safegate for the Safedock System – Type 2.
